Pacific Wall Systems Expands to Phoenix Ribbon Cutting and Celebration, Monday, November 13, 2023 Location: 100 Houston Road, Phoenix
Phoenix, Oregon – SOREDI is pleased to announce that Pacific Wall Systems has expanded to its new headquarters, based in Phoenix, Oregon at 100 Houston Road, and will hold a celebratory ribbon cutting on Monday, November 13, 2023. All are invited to attend the celebration beginning at 10 am. Refreshments and tours are planned.
Established in 2007, Pacific Wall Systems is a family and women-owned entity led by Konny Knecht, president, and CFO. Its first location was in Medford, within an indoor facility which they quickly outgrew before moving to a new location in Central Point. For numerous years they had wanted to expand, which meant finding a larger, permanent home for the business.
Nancy Mansfield, Director of Marketing, states “when the building which
previously housed Boise Cascade in Phoenix became available to lease
with an option to purchase, we jumped on it.” The company has over 80 employees and serves Oregon, Washington, and California.
Co-owners Alex and Konny Knecht, and Mark and Nancy Mansfield, will be on hand to share more on the growth of Pacific Walls Systems over the last 15 years, their innovative prefabricated wall systems, and how they have a great love and respect for their employees, which they consider family. “We are all excited to be in Phoenix and part of such a strong community, proudly building from the ground up, one wall at a time,” said Nancy Mansfield.
Phoenix Oregon Chamber President, Will Volpert, is also excited for the boost to Phoenix and its perfect alignment with their ongoing efforts to engage local businesses in efforts to revitalize the downtown businesses. “Companies like Pacific Wall Systems that choose to establish themselves in Phoenix, reaffirm our collective efforts of progress, one wall and one business at a time. Businesses see that Phoenix is primed and ready to offer fantastic opportunities for growth.”
This company expansion was particularly welcome to the City of Phoenix, who continues to rebound from the wildfire disaster of 2020. Eric Swanson, City Manager of Phoenix, couldn’t be more pleased to see economic revitalization and hope re-instilled for better days ahead, paired with an innovative product that also addresses the housing crisis. According to Swanson, “it is simply one building block in the grander economic landscape to help build back our community with new investments and spending at retail establishments right here… we are thrilled and look forward to a long-standing relationship.”
SOREDI was introduced to this expansion project – Project Bundle – in October 2021, after a referral from the City of Ashland noting the company was considering developing a new facility there and needed assistance. Other properties considered in the company’s search over many months included White City and Talent with a focus on existing facilities that could help them ramp up quickly.
According to Colleen Padilla, SOREDI Executive Director, “this expansion project, is exactly what every economic development agency hopes for, to see an existing traded sector company find the perfect facility fit in short order to minimize disruption in productivity, make new capital investments, and add quality jobs.”
